Even simple chicken breast recipes can be flavorsome if the right ingredients are used. Give these dishes a try and give that old chicken meal a makeover.
Chicken Breasts with Brandy
Ingredients
½ tsp of salt
Chicken breasts (4 pieces)
8 ounces of mushrooms (sliced)
2 tsp of butter
½ tsp of thyme leaves
½ cup of apple brandy
4 pieces of green onions
Half a cup of whipped cream
½ tsp of pepper
2 tsp of olive oil
Instructions
Pound the breasts gently until they are level. Spray it with salt and pepper. Put the olive oil and butter in a skillet. Turn it to medium heat and toss in the chicken. Cook it for 5 minutes. Put more flavor to this simple chicken breast recipe by adding mushrooms. Cook it for another 5 minutes.
Spray in the brandy and the onions. Cook for 60 seconds and then add the cream. Toss in the thyme. Allow this to simmer until it gets thick. Sprinkle a bit of pepper and salt on the meat.
Chicken Breasts with Sour Cream
Ingredients
4 pieces of chicken breasts
1 cup of salsa
1 package of taco seasoning
1/3 cup of sour cream
Instructions
Grease a baking dish and put the chicken there. Add some taco seasoning. Spray some salsa on the meat. Turn the oven on for 350 degrees and cook for 45 minutes. Before serving this chicken breast recipe, mix more sour cream with salsa. Pour it on the chicken.
Chicken with White Wine
Ingredients
Chicken breasts (6 halves)
2 cups of chicken broth
½ tsp of paprika
½ tsp of salt
1/3 cup of chopped onion (green)
½ tsp of pepper
½ tsp curry powder
1/3 cup of white wine
2 tbsp of flour
¼ cup cold water
3 ounces of mushrooms (sliced and drained)
Instructions
Flavor the chicken with some paprika and salt. Set the chicken in a pan with the skin facing up. Pour the chicken broth, wine and onion onto the chicken. Next, toss in the curry powder.
Add some pepper to the chicken breast recipe as well. Put a foil over it. Bake for half an hour at 350 degrees. Take off the cover and bake it for another 45 minutes.
Put the chicken in a platter. Put the juices in a saucepan. In a bowl combine the flour with cold water. Pour the juices in the saucepan into the flour and water.
Stir it slowly. The heat must be low. Allow it to boil for 3 minutes. Toss the mushroom into this mix. Heat it well. Spray the mushroom sauce onto the chicken. Serve this dish hot.
Note: you can increase the number of mushrooms in this recipe. You can also add or reduce the wine to be used. The type of wine to be used is a matter of personal preference.
